Jul. 28-Aug. 1, 2010, '2nd International Symposium on Edible Plant Resources and the Bioactive Ingredients' (ISEPR2010) was held in Urumqi, Xinjiang.

　  Academician Wang Kui and Chen KaiXian of CAS, Professor Georges m. Halpern of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Academician AYiDaPanov·KeLiMu of Tajikistan Academy of Sciences, Professor Zhan HuaQiang of The Hong Kong university of Science and Technology, Professor Li ShaoPing of University of Macau, and Chairman Haji Akber Aisa et al. 200 domestic experts attended the conference.

　  ISEPR2010 is sponsored by XJTIPC and Science & Technology Department of Xinjiang Government, and organized by the Key Laboratory of Chemistry of Plant Resources in Arid Regions CAS, Xinjiang Key Laboratory of Plant Resources and Natural Products Chemistry, and Xinjiang Academy of Physiology. The Symposium invited many famous scholars domestic and overseas to give special speeches on investigations and applications on edible plants, and many medical and health care company operators, scientific researchers joined the symposium to give lectures.
