Resource Chemistry Research Center includes: Plants Resource Chemistry Laboratory (Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region key laboratory), Molecular Biology & Cell Biology Laboratory, Green Chemistry & Chemical Engineering Laboratory and Fine Chemical Engineering Technical Research Center (Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region engineering center). Resource Chemistry Research Centre always focuses on the strategic needs of the nation and Xinjiang province, adheres to the scientific and technological innovation as the central, takes the market as the orientation and applies itself to Xinjiang competitive resources converted into high value-added ones and researched, developed in sustainable exploitation and utilization ways.

　　During seven years, 60 provincial and ministerial level key research projects, of which the research unit expenditure allowance adds up to 80 million yuan, have been undertaken which come from National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Chinese Academy of Science and Office of Science and Technology of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Researchers of Resource Chemistry Research Centre have published 200 papers in China and aboard, over 50 of which have been cited by SCI, in addition to have applied for 90 national level patents and 34 of them were granted. Furthermore, Resource Chemistry Research Centre has won Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region scientific and technological progress second prize and is looking forward to more prizes by reserved results to be reported.

　　The 46 permanent scientific staffs who are experts in organic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, biological chemistry, petro-chemistry and fine chemical industry are composed of 10 professors, 14 associate professors, 3 scholars funded by the “Hundred of Talents” project of CAS and 14 guest professors and they are definitely a contingent of top-notch researches full of vitality and vigor. In 2006, they were awarded “advanced collectivity in exploiting and constructing Xinjiang” by Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region All Federation of Trade Union. Resource Chemistry Research Centre is the only institution in Xinjiang accredited organic chemistry doctoral degree while 7 doctoral tutors and 18 master’s degree student teachers are working for the Centre. For the past several years, 9 doctor students and more than 70 master students have graduated from the Centre and 23 doctorial students and 36 graduate students on master are working on perseveringly to get their degrees.
