The Research Center concentrates on researches on the essential technologies of Multilingual Information processing and E-Governance and E-Commerce,as well as the testing and researching of Multilingual software. It is authorized by the State to offer doctoral and master’s degree programs.In recent years,it has already finished 2 national “863”programs(the National Hi-Tech Research and Development Program) , 1 scientific research and tackle the key researching item, as well as many important programs from the provinces and ministries and commissions.It has already won 2 first-prizes, 1 second-prize and 1 third-prize of National Autonomy Science and Technology Progress.Now,it is undertaking 2 national programs,7 important programs from the provinces and ministries and commissions,and more than 10 programs in other fields.

　　After a few years’ development, the center has accumulated enough experience and advanced technology in Multilingual Information processing and E-Governance.The Uyghur-Kazakh-Kirgiz language YongZhong office software sells very well,and the Uyghur-Kazakh-Kirgiz language information Distribution System has been successfully applied to website construction of minorities like Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People's Government’s Uyghur website, Autonomous Region Uyghur-Kazakh-Kirgiz KunLun website,YiLi Kazak Autonomous Prefecture’s government Kazakh website, HeTian Uyghur website, and Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture governtment website. The xbstar information distribution system and xbstar E-Governance Application-based platform having been used in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Party Committee and the Government have achieved good benefits both in economy and the society. The development of Xin Jiang’s E-Governance has been greatly promoted by the center.

　　The center now has more than 20 research staffs, including 5 who take subsidies from the State Council. It is a young and professional team with an average age of 29, and there are 24 PhD students and master students.
