Sept. 20-21, 2010, the appraisal experts coming from Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Shanghai Institute of Microsystem And Information Technology, GuangZhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Bureau of High-Tech Research and Development, Bureau of Planning and Finance of CAS, Tsinghua University, University of Science and Technology of China came to Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics & Chemistry and gave the on-site review to “Key Laboratory of Electronic Information Materials and Radiation Effects on Solid State Physics CAS”.

　  In the assessment, Chang Aimin researcher, director of the laboratory, gave a work report and "Hundred Talents" Pan Shilie and other three researchers gave academic reports. After listened the reports, the experts discussed on the development of the laboratory and gave some advice. Then the experts visited the laboratory.

　  After detailed review of the laboratory research projects, team, management, scientific research output and research documents, the experts believed that Key Laboratory for the oriented the work to national strategic and regional development needs, located in the electronic information materials and devices, solid radiation physics of the application of basic research. And the main research directions are sensitive materials and components, electronic information materials, radiation effects and devices, optoelectronic functional materials, efficient energy conversion and energy storage materials and devices. The experts also thought that the laboratory has an accurate positioning, clear direction and objectives, and fit in with national development plans and long-term science and technology disciplines of Chinese Academy.Meanwhile, the expert group suggested to strengthen the research of lab development strategy, introduction and training of top-notch talent and wished the laboratory to be approved to Key Laboratory of CAS.
