Prof. Wenzhong Wang from SICCAS visits XTIPC

   Recently, Prof. Wenzhong Wang from State Key Laboratory of High Performance Ceramics and Superfine Microstructure, Shanghai Institution of Ceramics, CAS (SICCAS) paid a visit to Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry (XTIPC), and gave a lecture entitled The Application of Photocatalytic Technology on Environmental Protection.

   In the lecture, Prof. Wang introduced the preparation and the basic properties of Bi based photocatalyst composites and its application on environmental protection and the production of clean energy. And then he discussed and exchanged with related researchers of XTIPC.

   Wenzhong Wang, professor,doctoral supervisor, the principle investigator of environmental functional materials research group in State Key Laboratory of High Performance Ceramics and Superfine Microstructure. Prof. Wang received a doctorate of Science from University of Science and Technology of China in 1998, he worked at Virginia Commonwealth University, Rutgers University and Colorado State University from 1999 to 2003. In 2004, he was supported by “Hundred Talents Program”, CAS. He has issued more than 80 papers in various journals, and they have been cited over 1,400 times, 12 patents of invention belong to him. Prof. Wang’s main research area focuses on materials and devices research of environmental purification, developing new environmental protection materials and technologies, to achieve energy saving and emission reduction.
