July 11, Doctor Ma Pengcheng from the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden, Germany visited XTIPC for academic exchanges at the invitation of the environmental engineering research group.

　  Doctor Ma gave a lecture entitled CNT/Polymer Nanocomposites: From Fundamental to Application.In the lecture, he introduced the preparation, basic properties and application ofCNT/polymer nanocomposites. After the report, Doctor Ma discussed the topic with the present researchers in XTIPC.

　  Ma Pengcheng, who awarded a Humboldt research fellowship, obtained his Ph.D. from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with honors. Since 2010, Doctor Ma has been worked at the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden, Germany. He has published 19 papers, of which16 SCI articles. These papers have been cited over 230 times, one of which was cited more than 70 times. The article, written by Doctor Ma, was published in authoritative journal Compos Sci Technol, and became the top 10 cited articles from 2006 to 2011. The CRC Press in America invited Doctor Ma to write a chapter for the monograph Carbon Nanotubes for Polymer Reinforcement in May, 2009.
