Editor: | Jul 18,2011
Doctor Gan Wei, from Chemistry Department, Temple University in America visited XTIPC on July 11 and 12. During his visit, Doctor Gan gave a lecture titled Spectroscopic Studies on Surface of Metallic Nanoparticles.
In his lecture, Doctor Gan introduced the dynamics of second harmonic generation for the adsorption of molecules and the chemical reaction on the surface ofmetallic nanoparticles. After the report, Doctor Gan discussed the topic with the present researchers in XTIPC.
Gan Wei, graduated from University of Science and Technology of China in 1998, and in 2006 he got his Ph.D from Institute of Chemistry, CAS. Since 2006, Doctor Gan engages in the postdoctoral work at Biology Department of Columbia University and Chemistry Department of Temple University in the USA. His main research areas focus on the dynamics of second harmonic generation for the adsorption of molecules and the chemical reaction on the surface of metallic nanoparticles, the change of metallic nanoparticles launch two-photon fluorescence, the influence of efficiency of two-photon fluorescence nanoparticles which produced by the adsorption of molecules etc. Doctor Gan has issued 17 papers, some were published on famous journals like Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. and J. Phys. Chem. C, his papers were cited more than 570 times.附件下载:
