The starting meeting about nation-level 973 prophase project- Research on the Corresponding Foundation of Common Disease in Domestic Minority Administrative Area and Territory has been convoked in Jinan, Shandong.

　　The main content of the project “Research on the Corresponding Foundation of Common Disease in Domestic Minority Administrative Area and Territory” will be focused on some important diseases such as cancer, diabetes, nervous system degenerative disease and ageing dependability disease, based on the foundation of research distinctness and ascendancy in natural drugs of domestic minority administrative area and territory, aim at breakthrough drugs that researchers long for gaining to use as the target and carried out on the substantial elementary issue which is relative closely to original new drug study.

　　The “Key Laboratory of Plant Resource Chemistry in Arid Zone” in XJIPC has undertaken the sub-project “Research on the Constituents of Two Edible Plants Characteristically in Xinjiang Applied in Cancer Chemoprevention”, which is the first 973-relative project obtained since the institute founded.
