Within the framework of international cooperation of the Research center of medicinal plants of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Xinjiang Technical Physical and Chemical Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, opens the Kazakhstan-China Joint Laboratory for Drug Research on November 26, 2019. The Joint Laboratory will be engaged in advanced basic research to develop cosmetics and safe phytomedical drugs for the treatment of common diseases in China and Kazakhstan based on local raw materials and knowledge. As results of the collaboration, 8 research articles in which including 2 SCI papers published, 2 patents have been obtained, as well as the research results presented at more than 10 international conferences. Moreover, 5 young scientists (4 master and 1 PhD students) have been trained at the both sides.
