Central Asia Drug Discovery and Development Centre of Chinese Academy of Sciences

 As one of the first five overseas science and education bases, the Central Asia Drug Discovery and Development Centre of Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as "the Center") is established by Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013. The Center is supported by XTIPC and is jointly built with domestic and overseas scientific institute and universities, such as Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Kunming Institute of Botany and Dalian Institute of Chemical Compounds, Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and so on.

The Center actively implements the Belt and Road Initiative, and focuses on the endemic medicinal resources in Central Asia and neighboring countries in response to the urgent needs of the countries along the Belt and Road for medicine. At present, three branches of the center in Tashkent, Dushanbe, and Almaty have been completed and put into operation. Uzbekistan Navoy API pilot technology platform is under construction.

Tashkent BranchChina-Uzbekistan Medicine Technical Park was included in the List of Achievements of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China approved the establishment of China-Uzbekistan one Belt and one Road joint laboratory.
