Tonghai JIANG, distinguished professor of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ph.D. supervisor. JIANG is currently the secretary of the Party Committee and vice director of XTIPC.
Research Areas and Achievements:
JIANG mainly engaged in research and development of computer application technology. He organized and participated in more than 100 scientific projects, including the National 863 Program, the National Key R&D Program, the Strategic Priority Research Program of CAS, and the Major Special Program of Xinjiang. The relevant research results have been widely applied in various industries, generating direct and indirect economic benefits of more than 1 billion yuan. He has obtained more than 20 awards in various fields, 110 software copyrights, ten local standards, two national invention patents, and published more than 70 academic papers.
Selected Honor:
JIANG has won a second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked first), a special prize of the Xinjiang Science and Technology Progress Award, six first prizes and two second prizes of provincial and ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards, Second China Youth Science and Technology Award, and Outstanding Achievement Award of CAS. Moreover, he has been entitled as Outstanding Young Entrepreneur of Xinjiang, Expert with Outstanding Contributions of Xinjiang, and Outstanding Scholar of Western Light program (CAS).
