Resume
Xin Xuelei, Female, Han, she was born in 1971and now are professor and Doctoral supervisor of the Resource Chemistry Research Office of Xinjiang Technology Institute of physical and chemical, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She has long been engaged in the study of the material basis and function of the efficacy of ethnic medicines, and has rich experience in structure identification, biological activity screening and mechanism research. She published 86 research papers, including   52 papers were collected in SCI, and wrote 3 chapters in English in advanced research monograph; Applied for 60 invention patents, authorized 41, and 6 of them were transferred, 22 students had got their master or doctor degree, 2 of them won national scholarships.
Research Areas and Achievements:
Focusing on the improvement of the scientific connotation of ethnic medicine for a long time, She has participated in the research on the material basis of more than 20 kinds of medicinal which common used in Uygur medicine, identified more than 300 compounds, including 6 new skeleton types and more than 60 new compounds, a number of characteristic components related to drug efficacy were found, which laid a foundation for the construction of its standardization system. The screening model of cholesterol lowering active ingredients has obtained national patents, and the screening model of lipid-lowering, hypoglycemic and anti-inflammatory were utilized, 28 active components and monomers were obtained through more than 4000 screening, and the hypoglycemic mechanism of 18 components or monomers was revealed, which provided support for revealing the scientific nature of traditional uses of ethnic medicines. Two national standard sample certificates have been obtained, of which the standard of Lactucin has been used in the quality control of medicine and products which include Cichorium glandulosum, all of these work accelerate the standardization process of ethnic medicines; Participated in the research and transformation of the first new Medicine of effective part of traditional Chinese medicine- total flavone tablets of cotton flower in Xinjiang and Nazilai granules, the technical of them were transferred to local pharmaceutical companies, and providing a demonstration for the development of innovative drugs for ethnic medicine. As the deputy director of the key laboratory, she participated in the establishment of the provincial and ministerial joint construction of the cultivation base of the State Key Laboratory for the util ization of unique medicinal resources in Xinjiang and the Key Laboratory of plant resource chemistry in arid areas of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which have become important bases for the research and development of ethnic medicines and the cultivation of talents.
Main Honor

3 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 1 third prize of Xinjiang Science and Technology Progress Award, and 2 second prizes for excellent natural science papers in Xinjiang were obtained; selected into Tianshan talent project for two times; the outstanding contribution award of Wang Kuancheng western scholar of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the title of excellent female worker of Xinjiang Education trade union were obtained.
